Filipino-American Association of Greater Columbia, SC - Annual GALA, Embassy Suites Hotel, Sept. 13, 2003  The Filipino-American Association of Greater Columbia celebrated its 13th Annual Gala and 10th Induction Ball at the Embassy Suites Hotel from 6:00 p.m. to midnight. The proceeds of the event supported the various community-oriented and youth programs of the Association. The formal affair (coat and tie or Filipino Barong) featured a three-course sit-down dinner (London broil and chicken, followed by American cheesecake) and an entertainment program with Philippine folk dances. A brief induction ceremony to usher in the 2003-2005 FAAGC officers was held. The Stargazer Band, a Filipino ensemble, provided the music.
